My paintings are an attempt to listen to water. Whether it’s a midsummer river in Michigan or the stillness of a shoreline, I’m drawn to the way water mirrors the world. Light shifts, currents move. There’s a sense of calm that lingers. Painting water is my time to pause, breathe, and experience the moments that rush past. I try to let brushstrokes echo the movement of water.
